This is a special interview on EA Sports which features the improvements of Fifa 99 to the rest of the similar family products.

Question: I remember, EA Sports claimed that the biggest improvement in FIFA 98 and World Cup 98 was the gameplay. Which Areas have you been focusing at now?

Answer: At EA, we always attempt our very best to improve all areas of gameplay. This includes graphics, gameplay, sound or whatever it may be. We have once again
improved Gameplay by making the game much faster and more responsive. We have included new transparency, and lighting effects which have proved to show a lot more realistic graphics. You will find this time that not only players but also the goals have shadows.

Question: And what about the player skills? In previous FIFA titles, the less familiar
teams seemed to have attributes that weren't so accurate.

Answer: Yes, it is not possible to create all teams with accurate details. That is why we have once again included the option to change player attributes. That way, the user can correct any, or update any outdated details.

Question: What is from your point of view, the best improvement?

Answer: I believe it is the games' realism. By that I mean that the player animation
has been created to a superb extent. We have included much more motion capture,
and all in all it makes a great soccer game.

Question: And finally, could you please comment on the overall interface, I remember FIFA 96 and 97's GUI was very similar.

Answer: Well, if you compare to previous version's, FIFA 99's Interface is a little like
FIFA 98. Although the game menus have been organized a lot more efficiently. And to save the hassle, we have included a Quickstart mode that enables you to get started and playing with two clicks of the mouse button.
